Accion East

Accion East is a nonprofit organization providing small business loans and financial education to entrepreneurs. Since 1991, Accion East and Online has provided over $132 million in over 20,000 microloans, helping to grow small businesses and strengthen the communities they serve. The Boston Impact Initiative has partnered with Accion East to create the New Ownership Fund, a small business loan and technical assistance program that strengthens opportunities for Boston’s urban entrepreneurs.


The Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE) provides a national forum for visionary local economy leaders and funders and investors to connect, build their capacity, and innovate. BII staff engage in BALLE's fellowship program and provide support as an advisor. http://


The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation promotes equitable development and equal opportunity in Jamaica Plain and adjacent neighborhoods through affordable housing, organizing, and economic opportunity initiatives that improve the lives of low- and moderate-income people. The Boston Impact Initiative partners with JPNDC to identify and support local entrepreneurs in strengthening and stabilizing their businesses.
